Kirrawee man charged with attacking policeman with baseball bat

A KIRRAWEE man, 46, is expected to face court today after he allegedly hit a Miranda policeman over the head with a baseball bat last night, police said.

It is alleged a Miranda Sergeant was left with concussion when the man he was trying to arrest swung a bat at his head on Kenneth Avenue, Kirrawee about 10pm.

The policeman was disoriented and taken to Sutherland Hospital with swelling to his head but released a short time later.
