DINERS can watch the passing of the seasons as they enjoy the menus prepared by Nun's Pool head chef Toby King and sous chef Scott Muncaster.
The restaurant, opposite Shelly Park at South Cronulla, has been described as one of Cronulla's hidden gems, a restaurant where diners can enjoy breakfast or lunch. And coffee!
The Nun's Pool coffee is made with a unique blend, roasted and selected by world barista champion Paul Bassett, and prepared for you by trained baristas.
Looking like a coastal beach house, the name reflects the fact that in the early 1900s nuns used to bath in a private corner of Shelly beach.
Now, diners can enjoy wonderful breakfasts and memorable lunches with their own private views across the beach.
Breakfast is served Tuesdays to Fridays from 8am to 11.30am and until 11am at weekends.
The breakfast menu includes the usual favourites and a range of freshly-baked muffins, cakes and cookies. The lunch menu has tempting entrees and mains with a reminder to "leave room for our wicked desserts".
The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 4pm, and has a "decadent" three-course dinner on Friday nights.
The licensed venue is available for private functions and its gift vouchers make ideal presents.
