Georges River Sailing Club are preparing for the Tasar World Championships to be held on January 2-9 at Busselton, Western Australia.
Competitors from Australia, Japan, Canada, US, Britain and New Zealand will be competing.
The club’s crews have high hopes of performing well against the elite competition.
The Tasars will be transported across to Western Australia in December; the competitors will fly over later.
Georges River Sailing Club publicity officer Jenny Sorensen said the crews had been working hard and were excited to be a part of the global event.
