Crash investigators closed northbound lanes of Taren Point Road after a car hit a pedestrian this morning.
Paramedics said a man, 75, was injured by a car near Box Road at Taren Point shortly after 6am.
He was in a serious condition when he arrived at St George Hospital.
Motorists crossing the Georges River were asked to use the Princes Highway and Tom Ugly’s Bridge instead of Captain Cook Bridge.
All lanes of Taren Point Road are now open.
