Update: Ben Barba will join Cronulla for the next three seasons on a deal believed to be worth close to $800,000 a year after he was released by the Brisbane Broncos for 2015.
The Broncos offloaded Barba as part of Wayne Bennett's restructure at the club which includes bringing Darius Boyd back to Brisbane.

Hard running forward Jason Bukuya has returned to the Cronulla Sharks, signing a new two-year contract.
Bukuya left the Cronulla club to play for the New Zealand Warriors; however, he was released from the final year of that contract on compassionate grounds.
He played with the Warriors in 2014 and several weeks ago rumours circulated he wanted to return to the Sharks.
The paperwork was inked today.
‘‘Footy is like love. If you love someone, let them go and if they come back, it’s meant to be,” Bukuya said.
“I’m happy to be wearing the sky blue, black and white again and I'm looking forward to it. We'll definitely be a competitive team this year.”
Cronulla Sharks will continue their 2015 buying spree and in the next few days announce the signings of Brisbane’s Ben Barba and St George Illawarra pair Kyle Stanley and Gerard Beale.
Stanley was released by the Dragons last week and Beale is close to getting a release from the final year of his contract.
Coach Shane Flanagan has been busy bolstering the playing roster for next year.
