THANKS to two new classes teaching mosaics, there will be some extra items on sale when St George Creative Art and Craft Centre holds its annual exhibition and sale.
Teacher Maria Kokkoris said she was pleased with the progress of her students.
"They've been doing things such as making plaques, decorating bottles and a table, even a pixilated face of John Lennon to put on a record," she said.
"There are a lot of innovative ideas."
She said that all beginners had to start with the basics — a terracotta pot — before progressing with greater knowledge.
The students used a variety of colours, including some vibrant shades.
Although Ms Kokkoris began teaching this term it is not a new project for her, as she taught at the centre 13 years ago.
Some of the work will be on display at the annual event on Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29, from 7pm to 9pm, at St George Creative Art and Craft Centre, 23 St Georges Road, Penshurst. A $5 admission will cover supper and a lucky door prize entry.
The Saturday craft sale will be from 8.30am to 2pm.
Other items on sale will include cards, paper crafts, folk art, lapidary, leatherwork, needlework, paintings, patchwork and pottery.
