Our red bin was not fully emptied last week by the council, as the lid has been broken. This week as it was a little fuller than normal it was not picked up at all.
Yet the driver had time to exit his vehicle and write and attach a note to the bin stating it was overfull and the lid must be fully closed.
It would have taken longer to write the note than it would have taken to empty the bin.
I notice many other bins in our street had similar notes attached.
This "public service" attitude has now compounded a problem that could have been fixed in 30 seconds.
Next week we will have twice the rubbish to fit in the same bin.
We pay expensive rates for this unsatisfactory service.
From now on, I will ring each time it misses our bin and demand a pick-up service.
Many of us are families with three kids and a couple of pets, hence a full bin every week.
How about a helpful attitude towards your ratepayers?
