Miranda police are warning people to be vigilant after four people overdosed on Friday night at Cronulla.
Three men and a woman were taken to Sutherland Hospital after taking what was believed to be ecstasy at house parties and at a licensed venue.
The four people – between 20 and 22 years – have been discharged.
It’s believed the four ingested a small blue pill with a ‘‘scissors’’ logo stamped on it.
Miranda police are now analysing the seized pills.
Miranda duty officer Peter McMaugh said it was lucky that more people had not been affected.
‘‘The community needs to be vigilant,’’ he said.
‘‘People have no idea what are in these tablets.
‘‘It’s really like playing Russian roulette.’’
Anyone with information is urged to contact Miranda police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
