TOP female cyclist Kaarle McCulloch is a prominent nominee in the senior category of the Leader Sportstar Awards.
The 26-year-old rider is back from injury which had curtailed her career.
McCulloch, of Gymea, spent six months on the sidelines with a mysterious injury which was first diagnosed as knee damage.
But the eagle eye of her physiotherapist Cameron Elliott found the problem to be with her back.
Pain had travelled from her back to McCulloch's left knee, causing her the discomfort.
The St George Cycling Club competitor recently returned from a triumphant World Cup series victory in Mexico; partnering Stephanie Morton, the pair won the team sprint.
McCulloch, who was a bronze medal winner in the team sprint at the 2012 London Olympics, said she was fighting fit again.
She said her goal was to make the 2015 titles in Paris and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Award categories are: senior Sportstar of the year; junior Sportstar of the year; athletes with a disability, masters, junior team, all-schools team, senior team, and local sports club.
Include nominee's name, age, address, photograph (where possible) and daytime phone number.
