The warm weather on Sunday attracted a crowd of between 3000 and 5000 people to the annual Cook Community Classic at Cronulla.
Highlights included performances by local dance students, the ocean swim and beach football.
Not-for-profit groups including the Lioness Club of Sutherland Shire, Jacaranda Cottage, Sutherland Early Support Centre and Sylvanvale sold items to raise money,
Sponsor Olsens had free sunscreen for those who needed it.
Wanda Surf Life Saving Club was the winner in the surf club events and the beach football was won by Soccer-Cool Beaches.
Patron and founder Scott Morrison said the event highlighted the region’s sense of community spirit.
There are still tickets in the raffle which will be drawn on December 6.
