THE Christmas spirit is already in full swing at Narwee Public School.
Pupils launched into the festive season with the school’s traditional street walk through Broad Arrow Road on Wednesday.
More than 200 pupils dressed in nativity costumes shared stories of Christmas with businesses as school musicians led the parade with drums, followed by angels and elves draped in tinsel.
Teacher Matt Lennon said it was a great example of the school community working together.
‘‘This has been the first time in four years we’ve done the walk outside the hall because of wet weather,’’ he said.
‘‘So the kids were excited.’’
There was also a giving tree, with the school’s representative council choosing to support Riverwood Community Centre this year.
