Well Handel-ed: Sutherland Shire Choral Society has survived a last-minute switch of venue in time for its Christmas concert.
A SAVIOUR has come to the aid of Sutherland Shire Choral Society's Christmas performance of The Messiah on December 7 after recent storms damaged the initial concert venue.
The society, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, will now perform at Caringbah High School's auditorium.
Society committee member Jillian Critchley said St Patrick's Catholic Church, Sutherland, was to have been the original concert venue when disaster struck.
The church was damaged during the storms that hit Sutherland Shire, and structural engineers deemed part of the church unsafe.
