FOOTBALL: Brighton-Le-Sands footballer Teresa Polias, takes her place for Sydney FC against Perth Glory in the next round of the W-League at 3pm on Sunday at WIN Stadium, Wollongong. Polias, 24, skippers the women’s team, which is fourth. Perth Glory are the competition leaders. ‘‘Perth Glory are the team to beat,’’ Polias said. ‘‘There are two rounds to go before the finals.’’ Polias has played for the national women’s team, Matildas.

TENNIS: Illawarra Suburbs Lawn Tennis Association’s new book detailing its 100-year history is now on sale. Players keep scorers busy
CRICKET: Sutherland players James Bills and Chris Williams have reached personal milestones with the club. James Bills played his 150th match in all grades against Blacktown and first grade batsman Chris Williams reached 1000 runs. The club is celebrating its 50th season in 2014-15.
