The sport of cricket and the wider community's hearts have been broken by the death of Hughes, batting for South Australia against NSW at the SCG.
The St George-Sutherland Women's Cricket Club showed paid their respects on Sunday in the first grade match at Bankstown Oval.
The number 408, Hughes' official Australian Test cap number, was sprayed on the grass.
The result of the game was irrelevant.
St George-Sutherland made 174, with Nicola Carey top-scoring on 79 and Lauren Miletich made 24. Bankstown reached the target scoring 3-175, Julie Muir took 125, and Cailyn Fountain 1-43.
Slayers third grade player, Leisa Johns, of Lugarno, said the players in all grades at the club wore black arm bands at their matches.
"The players also observed a minute's silence at the games," Leisa Johns said.
"Our third grade side even went down to their home ground at Harold Fraser Oval to pay tribute together despite the opposition forfeiting and no game was played."
The Slayers play their last one day games on Sunday at various venues before the finals.
