HUNDREDS of Nippers from the Bate Bay surf life saving clubs, Cronulla, North Cronulla, Elouera and Wanda, participated in the 4 Way Carnival on Sunday.
‘‘The weather and surf conditions at Cronulla were perfect for holding all the beach events and the under-9s and under-10s water events,’’ said Michele Cole, of Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club.
She organised the event with Donna Hargraves, of North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club.
Cole said one of the highlights was the all-age sprint relay won by Elouera. Wanda came second, Cronulla was third and North Cronulla came fourth.
The carnival was sponsored by Sydney Airport and GuzmanYGomez. Cole said the day was an outstanding success and well supported by all the clubs.
