CRONULLA Sutherland Junior Rugby League officials and club administrators are wasting no time resting in the off-season.
While the footy posts, tackle bags and playing gear have been packed away for spring and summer, the hard work is under way for next year.
"We can't rest on our laurels," Cronulla Sutherland Junior Rugby League secretary Judd O'Shea said.
"We enjoyed a pretty good season in 2014 with good player registration numbers and the clubs made it all possible with their support.
"But the work has started for next season and there is very little time in the off-season nowadays for a break.
"All the clubs get down to work on maintaining their team numbers, and recruiting new players and organising coaches and officials for the next season."
O'Shea said this year they had 4000 registered players representing 14 clubs from under 6s to A grade.
O'Shea said the 2015 competitions would start on Saturday, March 28.
"That's the weekend before Easter and there will be the traditional break and the competitions will resume on Saturday, April 11," O'Shea said.
New Sharks group chief executive Lyall Gorman said he wanted the senior club to be involved at all tiers in the community, including at junior level.
