CHILDREN'S Christian artist Colin Buchanan will be entertaining the children from 5pm at the hugely popular Christmas Eve concert and service at Engadine Anglican Church.
Families are urged to arrive early for the free, fun concert as it has become the most popular children's event on the church's calendar and is sure to be a packed house.
Assistant minister, Reverend Ben Boardman, said Buchanan would be performing some of his favourite children's songs and make one big mess with tinsel, confetti and streamers spewing out to all corners of the big church auditorium.
"Colin and some of his Engadine church chums will be telling the amazing story of Jesus Christ's birth — and knowing him, there will not only be the usual mess but lots of surprises along the way," Mr Boardman said.
"Many children will know Colin from his role as presenter on ABC TV's Play School, as a multi-Golden Guitar Award winner and for the many concerts he conducts around Australia.
"One thing we never forget in any concert we conduct in all the colour, fun and chaos of Christmas is that we are aiming to make this all about the best news of all — the joy, wonder and promise of peace with God through Jesus Christ.
"There will be lots of singing, we will hear from God's word, the Bible, and we are all sure to have a lot of fun along the way."
There will be an 11pm Christmas Eve service and an 8am traditional service and a 9.30am family service on Christmas Day at Engadine.
