Car park need
Re the article "Pressure builds for car park" (Leader, December 9).
Wanted to go to town to drop off documents last week; even the council three-hour parking area in Riverwood was full with people looking for spots.
Definitely need more parking and feel sorry for the plight of local residents who are parked out.

I would think a much more sustainable option would be to get bus routes 940, 942, 944, 945 to service Riverwood station before 6am. The first bus should ideally connect with trains that get to the city before 6am and connect with trains departing the city up until 9pm.
A car park wouldn't be needed if people had better options and the street parking issues wouldn't be so exaggerated.
A commuter car park provides little relief and just encourages more car use in a world that is trending away from car use.

Try parking at Beverly Hills these days.

As a resident, I understand that commuters need a place to park to get on the train.
It is getting so bad now in surrounding streets that people are parking illegally and in a dangerous manner.
The state government needs to look at more commuter parking.
