THE Majestic Aquariums Kids' Day will make waves of school holiday fun for children who are fans of the ocean.
On Sunday, December 21 from 1pm to 4pm children can get a photo with Santa's little mermaid, bounce around on a mini jumping castle, get their faces painted and see a shark and stingray feeding session.
There will also be a celebrity sausage sizzle.
Director Paul Talbot urged families to put the event in their diaries.
"It will be fun, interesting and free," he said.
"I love the response from kids getting involved in this wonderful hobby.
"Too many kids have their heads stuck in iPads, but here at Majestic Aquariums they can experience life."
Majestic Aquariums opened in 1999 and Mr Talbot said it was the largest aquarium store in Australia.
"We have a huge focus on education: we create DVDs, hold regular seminars and we have a YouTube channel with almost 10,000 views and almost 10,000 subscribers," he said.
"We're unique because of our level of knowledge, focus on education, price matching and we've been in business for 15 years.
"We also hold free shark feeding at 3pm on weekends."
Mr Talbot said home aquariums were a unique addition to any household.
"Fish make great pets," he said.
"Aquariums are a wonderful hobby and the best bit of furniture."
