The girls outperformed the boys again this year in the annual HSC results for the highest scores achieved in subjects.
The NSW Board of Studies today rewarded 105 students who came first in a course.
Three students from St George and one from Sutherland Shire topped the state in one of their subjects.
They are Mia Mihaljevic of Saturday School of Community Languages (Kogarah High School) for Croatian continuers, Katerina Markovska from the same school for Macedonian continuers, Spiros Kalavritinos of Georges River College (Oatley Senior Campus) for legal studies, and Salina Alvaro of St Patrick's College Sutherland for retail services examination.
A record of more than 76,000 students completed the HSC this year.
Results will be available from 6am Wednesday.
