The gentlemen of Menai Men's Shed want to make sure the joy of Christmas is not followed by tears on Boxing Day.
They will be ready and waiting on Boxing Day to repair any broken Christmas toys, at their premises in Coachwood Crescent, Alfords Point.
Menai Men's Shed assistant manager Karl Rudens said a team of volunteers would be able to glue, weld or whatever it took to repair those Christmas gifts.
"Toys can be busted very quickly. Instead of the local kids being upset if they have broken their Christmas present they can bring it to us and we will fix it," he said.
"We have a lot of expertise here. We have electrical engineers, woodworkers, general handymen. We have every talent available.
"In a way they can think of us as second Santas."
It has been a big year for Menai Men's Shed and next year promises to be bigger.
"We are no longer aligned to Menai Community Services, now called 3 Bridges, but have become a stand alone incorporated body," Mr Rudens said.
"We have 60 financial members and 180 waiting around to join but cannot because we have no extra space."
Menai Men's Shed will move next year to bigger premises next to Illawong bush fire station.
The volunteers are planning to build a mini-Men's Shed for the use of residents at Thomas Mitchell Nursing Home.
Menai Men's Shed, 48R Coachwood Crescent, Alfords Point, will be open 9am-noon on Boxing Day to repair broken Christmas presents.
