I live in a cul-de-sac containing 20 homes with a very narrow road — two cars cannot pass.
Over the past five years we have been fighting development applications to demolish three homes on "battle axe blocks" at the roundabout end of the street to build units (first application 64 units).
Now after five years the latest application for 28 townhouses only allows for 39 parking spots in the underground car park.
The street cannot handle the current traffic and parking now.
If this is approved with all the trucks, digging machines, concrete pumps and workers' cars parked in the street for two or maybe three years, how are residents going to get in and out of their homes?
There are now three lovely homes which will be demolished to build this eyesore. And for what - greed by a person who does not live here?
