SUTHERLAND and St George first grade cricket teams are at different form phases during the season.
St George, searching for winning form, play Wests on Saturday in round eight at Hurstville Oval.
A confident Sutherland host Northern District on Saturday at Glenn McGrath Oval, Caringbah.
Both games are 50-0vers-a-side and play starts at 10am at both venues.
Sutherland are fifth on 24 points,
St George are 15th on 12 points
The Saints need to win to start climbing the ladder.
St George club president Kevin Greene said both teams will play for the Chris O'Neill Trophy. The late Chris O'Neill was a Wests committee member.
Saints have lost their past two matches against Randwick Petersham and Sutherland.
In the one-day Norm O'Neill Trophy game played on Saturday, December 20 at Hurstville Oval, Sutherland retained the coveted silverware defeating Saints by three wickets
St George batted first, making 9-245, and Sutherland won the match, scoring 7-251.
The match is played between the two clubs honouring the late Norm O'Neill, who was a dynamic batsman for Saints and Sutherland, NSW and Australia.
This Saturday's matches are the first since the annual Christmas and new year break.
Sutherland wicketkeeper Daniel Rixon has been in good form with gloves taking 11 catches in all forms of the game this season.
Rixon's batting has also been valuable scoring 304 runs at 33.80, including three 50s, with a highest score of 95.
