ST GEORGE District Netball Association's (SDNA) winter season starts on Saturday, March 7.
The association, based in Rockdale, has 11 clubs: Arncliffe Scots, Hurstville United, Kardinia, Kites, Kyle Bay, Oatley RSL, Ramsgate RSL, Rockdale, St Ursula's/Fatima, Titans, Tu Kaha.
Overall player registration numbers last season were 1634.
SDNA secretary Lara Mina said 2014 was a big year for them.
"All ages and registrations are for players from seven years and older and can be directed through our affiliated clubs on our website," Ms Mina said.
"Players of all abilities are welcome.
"Registrations for the Dragonettes program for girls aged five and six can be registered online."
Ms Mina said the association was going to open the Moira Gaha representative room at the official morning tea on March 7.
Gaha, who has given many years of amazing service to the association, last year coached St George's Waratah Cup first division team, which won the first division competition. Saints also won the state league third division.
Ms Mina said this year they had submitted five teams in the state league competitions.
She said St George had entered teams in the Netball NSW Waratah Cup second, third and sixth divisions.
"The teams are now well into pre-season with only four weeks before the start of the new season," Ms Mina said.
The association has obtained funding under a community partnerships grant from the state government.
"This money will be used to further illuminate the existing seven hard courts for training and night games," Ms Mina said.
"We look to have these works completed before the start of the season."
St George's under-12s, 13s, 14s and 15s junior teams will compete in the state age championships during the July school holidays.
