Much shuffling of governmental papers and little action with Sydney’s proposed new airport and Australia’s long-awaited nuclear waste dump.
Will we actually push on with the bad Badgerys Creek decision to start in 2016?
Blind Freddy can see that the correct decision would be a linked east coast fast train airport at Goulburn or Canberra.
And where will we put the returning processed nuclear waste from France ? ‘‘No, no, not in my state’’, is the cry and why would any state want it?
These issues are shuffled, stalled and tabled infrequently by Labor, Liberal and the Greens.
Come election time I can hear them say, ‘‘It won’t be our problem soon’’ and they’ll be spot-on, because they’ll be out of office and it will be ours again.
None of the above parties are doing enough or have enough good policy for the changes needed.
