A Gregory Hills man, 33, has been charged with high range drink driving after being pulled over at Botany on earlier today.
Police were conducting random breath testing on General Holmes Drive at Mascot at 2.30am when they saw a heavy vehicle exit the airport tunnel with its headlights on high beam.
Motorists also reported seeing the heavy vehicle driving in a dangerous manner in the M5 tunnel.
Officers stopped the vehicle on Foreshore Road at Botany after they saw it swerve in and out of lanes.
They allege the driver put on his seat belt when he was stopped.
He was arrested and taken to Mascot police station and returned a breath-test reading of 0.172.
He was charged with high range drink driving, not dipping headlights for an oncoming vehicle and not wearing a seatbelt.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Waverley Court on March 11.
