Sutherland Shire SES has responded to 40 calls for help over the past two days of wet weather.
Most requests were for leaky roofs and fallen trees.
Hurstville SES local controller Scott Davis said they had not received any calls for help.
‘‘Gentle rain like we’ve had isn’t too much of a problem, it’s only when we see the wind come up that we have issues with trees down,’’ he said.
Sydney has received 59 millimetres of rain since Tuesday.
Cronulla received 36mm of rain yesterday; Peakhurst received 19mm.
Motorists are advised to be cautious as flooding has been reported in the Princes Highway near Holbeach Avenue, Tempe.
Showers will continue during today and tomorrow but drier weather is expected for the weekend.
