A BUS stop will be relocated and the pedestrian fence extended to improve safety for students at two Kogarah high schools.
Roads and Maritime Services will do the work on Princes Highway, outside James Cook Boys Technology High School and Moorefield Girls High School. Rockdale MP John Flowers said the existing kerb-side pedestrian fence would be extended south by 18 metres.
"The purpose of the extension is to ensure pedestrians and students cross at the designated crossings and have a safe space to wait to cross the road," he said.
The work will be carried out on two evenings, from 8pm to 5am between February 8 and February 13, weather permitting.
