IT SEEMED only common sense that choristers from Cronulla would call themselves The Sea Naturals, but now they are on the rocks.
They want more people to join their group, which sings a cappella style.
The amateur choir began about three years ago but in that period some members had to leave because of work and other commitments. They are looking for another 15 people to join the group, which now has 25 members.
Stuart Davis, who started the choir, said the ideal number of members would be 40.
The men and women of The Sea Naturals sing everything from African numbers, jazz and pop to gospel.
"It's very social in the choir, it brings people together with a common interest. People have a cup of tea together," Davis said.
"New people don't have to audition, they just need a passion for singing and want to join a fun, social choir, which performs regularly to support various good causes along the way."
The Sea Naturals conductor is Lanneke Jones and the group includes a lawyer, nurses and school teachers among its members.
"We perform at Cronulla Spring Festival, Relay for Life and fund-raising events," Alexander said.
The choir rehearses on Thursday nights at Cronulla. Details: Stuart Davis, 0403 869 405.
