ACTOR and presenter Melanie Ward of Gymea Bay is joining the queues of talent in Hollywood auditioning for pilot seasons.
Ward, 25, had her first stint in Los Angeles in 2013, performing stand-up comedy and studying with Jack Plotnick from The Mentalist.
"There is so much competition in LA but Australians are definitely making their mark," she said.
The model-turned-actor was cast last year as a co-lead in a coming Australian horror movie Red Rabbit Lodge by Kevin Khachan.
She worked on several films including Drunk, The System and The Tail Job.
Ward had a supporting role in Wollongong comedy TV show AZIO: The Bogan Spy Agency. She is studying at The Groundlings acting school in Los Angeles.
