Money frittered
For transparency in government can we see the breakdown in expenditure?
For less expenditure it would be better to have a right-hand turn arrow from North West Arm Road into President Avenue, then have traffic proceed through at Gymea Bay Road intersection at 70km/h all day.
This would alleviate the congestion caused by those who use Gymea Bay Road south as a short cut from North West Arm Road.
Also, remove the speed camera near that intersection, as it does not protect the few children who attend the local school.
Put the camera in the shopping centre to better protect the many, many children who frequent that area.
Allow President Avenue to have 70km/h all day without the 40km/h for three hours during peak times.
Statistical evidence shows that the majority of those caught by the camera are proceeding west.
Also, at the intersection of President Avenue and Acacia Road, resume a few metres of land and curve the entry to Acacia Road for southbound traffic.
I am confident all the above will not cost anything like $5 million. Let's see some simple practical solutions.
