Grant could pay 'fines'
It was good to see in the Hurstville City Council News mayor Con Hindi handing over a $5000 cheque to Jim Owen and his running group.
I can assume that Mr Owen can now afford to pay the fines that should be implemented for his continued use of council property.
The placing of posters and billboards throughout the Oatley parkland and the subway area of Oatley (which is public property, not Mr Owen's) and which to many residents, is an eyesore, and a form of graffiti.
The community appreciates the effort JORG puts into organising the Oatley Park Fun Run, but, not the abuse of defacing the area with posters and billboards.
It's our park, not a private business address.
