ALL the shiny, elegant lines of authentic vintage cars will be present on Sunday when a vintage car show will be held at Cronulla Plaza.
The Model A Ford Club of NSW, the Model T Ford Club of Australia (NSW), the Chrysler Restorers Club of Australia and the 1914 T Model Ford Speedster will have representatives present to show off 35 pre-World War I vintage cars.
Event organiser and vintage car enthusiast Ken Warburton said that the Willys vehicle (a coupe) was the only one of its kind left in the world.
The free community events on the day will include a recycled fashion show, retro dress-ups for children, retro games, face painting, a chocolate wheel, raffles, Pinky the Music Man and other entertainment including a fashion parade and live performances.
The event will raise funds for Sylvanvale, an organisation helping people with an intellectual disability, by providing services such as accommodation, day programs and respite care.
Today Sylvanvale supports more than 600 people and provides services to people with a disability, families and communities from across Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
Ken Warburton's mother and father were part of a group of parents who established the organisation in 1947.
Sylvanvale chief executive Pauline Stanley said the organisation appreciated everything that Rotary Club Cronulla and Sutherland Shire Council had done to make the event a great family day out for such a worthwhile cause.
The family fun day is on Sunday, March 29 from 9am to 4pm at Cronulla Mall.
