FREAKY facts and hair-raising fun are all part of the school holiday activities at the Wollongong Science Centre and Planetarium.
During the April school holidays the centre will hold children's workshops from Tuesday, April 7 to Friday, April 10.
Administration officer Kim Noble said topics included Science Friction, Worms and Creepy Critters, Dinosaurs and Fossils and Slime Chemistry.
"We will also host some 3D printing workshops on Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14.
"Spaces are limited for workshops and bookings are essential."
Ms Noble said the centre was an exciting place to visit any time of the year.
"Every year thousands of people of all ages visit, and with over 100 interactive exhibits, science shows and a planetarium, there is enough to keep the whole family actively entertained for hours," she said.
"Our emphasis is on providing lots of active family fun, exploring science in our everyday lives."
Ms Noble said the centre had the most extensive hands-on science exhibition area in NSW, dealing with electricity, magnetism, energy and motion, chemistry, geology, astronomy and more.
"No visit would be complete without seeing a live show in the Illawarra Coal Science Theatre. Our shows for these holidays will be at 11am for The Water Show and at 2pm for The Liquid Nitrogen Show," she said.
