Children can have a wild time at Southgate Shopping Centre these school holidays.
"The Zoo Comes to You" at Southgate will offer children an exciting look at weird and wonderful creatures.
The Taronga zoomobile will visit Southgate on Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9 from 11am to 2pm.
Southgate general manager Donna Karanfilovski said a selection of Taronga Zoo animals would be on display and children could experience close encounters where appropriate.
"Southgate is once again hosting an exciting program of educational school holiday activities for children during April, complemented by a range of kids' meal deals from food court retailers," she said.
The meal deals are available from April 7 to 19 and they come with a free crazy animal straw.
"Animals will vary from day to day, but may include native lizards, frogs and pythons as well as a ringtail possum and echidna," Ms Karanfilovski said.
Children are also invited to get creative and design their own animal puppet from Southgate's puppet making workshop which will be held on Wednesday, April 15 and Thursday, April 16 from 11am to 2pm.
