Fraud detectives have arrested an Illawong man, 58, after a company reported dubious dealings in its vehicle fleet division.
Police allege that hundreds of thousands of dollars in corrupt payments were made in exchange for the leasing of vehicles.
The fleet management company employee was arrested at Macquarie Park at 10.45am on Tuesday, March 31.
He was charged at Ryde police station with four counts of paying corrupt commissions and one count of money laundering.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Burwood Court on April 21.
The charges relate to four large deposits — totalling $504,900 — into a bank account in June 2014 and February 2015 .
The Illawong’s man charges follows the arrest last week of the company’s fleet manager who will appear in Burwood Court on April 14.
More charges and arrests are anticipated.
