Two men were taken to hospital Tuesday night after a bus and car collided at Jannali.
Emergency services were called at 5.40pm to Mitchell Avenue.
One man was taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition, but with minor facial and hand injuries.
A second man was taken to Sutherland Hospital suffering back pain.
Jannali resident Gordon Smyth was walking with his wife nearby on Soldiers Road when the accident happened.
''We were walking around the corner when all of a sudden we heard a loud bang and I ran down to see what had happened. I thought a bomb had gone off.
‘‘The car driver was already out but the bus driver was in total shock, he couldn’t move.
‘‘It was lucky no-one was seriously injured, it was really the seatbelt and airbags that saved him (the car driver).’’
Sutherland police are investigating.
