ANSTO at Luca Heights has created a range of activities to keep kids educated and entertained these school holidays.
The spooky science workshops, where kids aged 8 to 14 will make glow-in-the-dark slime and invisible ink, will be held April 8-10. The 90-minute workshop costs $10.
A hands-on workshop in video game design workshop will teach 10-14 year-olds to create and upload their own game. The six- hour course will be held April 16 and 17 and costs $60.
There will be two age-appropriate sessions for kids to design and build a lego robot on April 16 and 17. Kids will have six hours to design and build a robot, then guide it through mazes. There are separate sessions for 7-9-year-olds and 10-14-year-olds. It is $60 per child.
Students in years 9-12 are invited to talk to scientists and view laboratories at a science careers Q&A on April 16.
Students and their parents are invited to tour the reactor from Monday to Friday, April 13-17; free entry.
