DRAGONS coach Paul McGregor was born on New Year's Eve, 1967, and Wayne Bennett was born on New Year's Day, 1950.
McGregor has coached 20 NRL games with the Dragons.
Ringmaster Bennett has coached 720 career games — the most of any coach in the game's history — at Canberra, Brisbane (twice), St George Illawarra and Newcastle; he has won seven grand finals.
Bennett was at the Dragons in 2009-11 and delivered an elusive premiership for the big Red V in 2010.
Bennett has the Broncos leading the competition after six rounds, on 10 points.
The Dragons under Paul McGregor have found form after losing their first two matches, and have won four straight games.
They are on eight points.
In other news, Dragons forward Tyson Frizell has pleaded guilty to the "high tackle — careless" charge from the Canterbury Bulldogs game on Sunday at ANZ Stadium.
He will miss two weeks but is challenging the grading (5).
The judiciary hearings were heard last night (April 15).
Winger Jason Nightingale is out for a couple of weeks. Nightingale has plantar fascilitis — a disorder of the heel or underside of the foot.
