A resident has questioned why Rockdale Council has gone ahead with upgrades to Arncliffe Park so close to Anzac Day, April 25.
The upgrades are near the park’s war memorial.
The new buildings, started last month, are part of a program to upgrade public amenities: new accessible toilets, change rooms with showers and toilets, baby change facilities, improved lighting and canteen areas.
One resident said they were disappointed that construction had begun before Anzac Day celebrations.
‘‘They could have waited a few weeks for the Anzac 100 years remembrance to be over but no, the council just could not wait,’’ she said.
Do you think the council should have waited until after Anzac Day to start construction?
