KIMBERLEE Green is netball royalty but very much aware of her grass-roots connections in the sporting community of Sutherland Shire and St George.
The Australian Diamonds vice-captainwas netball queen for the day on Saturday when she visited youngsters at St George District Netball Association at the West Botany Street courts, Rockdale.
Green, 28, of Miranda, is the NSW Swifts captain. She was there as part of the Netball NSW and the Sydney Swifts community visits.
"We want to thank Netball NSW and the Sydney Swifts for organising Kim Green's visit," said St George District Netball Association secretary Lara Mina.
"Our junior teams were very excited to see her. Kim took time to meet and greet so many of our players and sign autographs. She is a strong supporter of St George netball.
"Kim's mother, Denyse Green, is one of the co-coaches of the St George 13 years junior representative team."
