GARDENERS at Woronora Memorial Park took part in "Operation Rosemary" this week, cutting bundles of rosemary growing in the cemetery grounds to be used to make sprigs to be worn for Anzac Day.
They loaded a ute full of rosemary to be taken to Legacy head office at Wynyard in the city to be sprigged and tagged for the Anzac centenary.
Rosemary is being donated from across Sydney to make 150,000 sprigs.
"This is the second year that Woronora Memorial Park has provided a substantial amount of rosemary from our gardens to Legacy," Woronora Memorial Park chief executive officer Graham Boyd said.
"We are very proud to assist with sending a ute tray load of rosemary to be sprigged, and which will be worn this Anzac Day."
