A slice of Australia's timeline was etched long before they were born but Rockdale Public School pupils bowed their heads in remembrance of a significant event in their nation's history.
The school had its Anzac service on Thursday, April 23.
To commemorate the centenary of the Gallipoli landing, the school's captains and senior prefects conducted the service to honour those who served their country during conflicts.
Pupils remembered the school's former students who died at Gallipoli, Turkey.
A new memorial garden was opened, watched by army and naval personnel.
