South Hurstville home fire now a crime scene
Police are investigating a house fire at South Hurstville.
Eight fire crews were called at 2.15pm on Sunday, April 26, to a property on Connells Point Road after reports of smoke.
The living room was on fire when the crews arrived.
Two people with smoke inhalation were taken to hospital.
Fire Brigades NSW said the incident was now a crime scene.
St George police acting crime manager Brett Van-Akker said the investigation was ongoing.
‘‘The occupants are known to us,’’ he said.
‘‘Whether the fire is suspicions or otherwise is still being determined.’’
