Heroes on wild night
I took my boys Jaidee, 10, and Jackawan, 8, to watch the Sharks inflict their own brand of myxomatosis to the Rabbitohs last Monday night and witnessed the worst weather that I've ever seen football played in my 53 years on the blue and green planet.
Our dedication was rewarded with a spectacular effort by the Sharks players.
But it was the Sharks chief executive Lyall Gorman who won my admiration.
So dedicated is this man to the task at hand that he roams the leagues club before the game chatting with supporters and even posed for this photo with my eldest boy.
Lyall, you are a champion, mate.
Let's hope he stays with our club a long time as his attitude can only improve the Sharks brand and we will see more fans warming to our local heroes and before you know it we might dare to dream of that elusive silverware we've yearned for the past 48 years!
