That's better: Volunteers in front of the repainted church.
ASHFORD Anglican Church near the Queensland border is looking as good as new because of the efforts of some Engadine residents.
Ten volunteers from Engadine Anglican Church headed north after ministry leader at the Ashford church, Warren Richards, put out a call.
Gathering their paint, brushes and drop sheets, the group sanded back the old paint under the direction of volunteer Paul Drayton, a professional painter with P&R Brushworks.
In three days the 91-year-old church had a new and much-improved exterior.
