THE Theatresports Schools Challenge is about to launch its 10th annual season of improvised comedy competition starting on Monday, May 4.
The more than 120 teams taking part represent schools from across Sydney performing in various venues.
These include Sutherland Shire Christian School, Barden Ridge, Engadine High, Caringbah High, Lucas Heights Community School, Barden Ridge, Danebank School, Hurstville and a Kogarah home school team.
Teams of three-to-five students from each school create one-, two- and three- minute improvised scenes live on stage.
Theatresports has been running in Sydney for more than 30 years.
The event was the training ground for TV personalities such as Andrew Denton, Shaun Micallef and Julia Zemiro.
A grand final will be held at the Enmore Theatre in June.
