Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Menai service station early Sunday.
Sutherland police said a man walked into the shop on Menai Road about 1.30am and approached the male console operator, 30.
The man, who had his face covered with black material, removed a backpack and put his hand inside. He demanded cash so the employee gave him money.
The man ran away towards Menai Road. The employee was not injured.
Sutherland police searched the area but could not find the thief.
He is of Caucasian appearance, aged 20 to 25 with a black beard and was wearing a grey hooded-tracksuit top and pants with white sneakers.
He carried a black and red backpack.
