DORIS Tyler has just celebrated her 100th birthday.
Born Doris Acteson in West Ham, London, she married Tom Tyler in 1938.
The couple migrated to Australia in 1951 and first lived in a migrant hostel at East Hills before building their home at Riverwood.
Tom began a business in repetition engineering where Doris worked.
She still has friends from that period in her life.
Tom died in 1993 and Doris continued to live at Riverwood until 2012 when she moved to St Basil's Hellenic Village, Miranda.
Doris celebrated her birthday with her daughter Patricia and son-in-law Max; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and friends.
