A man, 22, died at the scene of a car crash at Sylvania on Saturday morning.
Miranda police said they were told the man's Commodore was travelling west on the Princes Highway about 9.30am when it collided with a Mercedes near the intersection of Corea Street.
The Commodore left the road and hit a pole.
The driver died at the scene. Two people in the Mercedes were not injured.
The Princes Highway was closed for about six hours.
The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit and Forensic Imaging Unit went to the collision site.
Miranda police are continuing investigations and will prepare a brief for the Coroner.
